Upping Max Resists?

I read that points in the resist lightning/fire/cold aura increases your maximum possible resists for that element. So today I tried putting a point into resist lightning for the first time. It's now level 11, with +10 skill from my equipment, and my lightning resist is still 75 (Btw, I have stacked resists for ubering so i have way more than 75 if the limit was higher)

So i take it that only 2 hard points will make my maximum resist go up one?

Please tell me i don't have to go find a wisp projector now >.<

Yes, it takes two hard points for the max to go up one.

However if you actually use the lightning resist aura, you will get the full 20 pts increase. Then again I highly doubt you or anybody else would ever have LR as your active aura.
