Character not found

Okay so I opened up diablo 2 and went into my character selection screen, and then went to go get something to eat. I came back and tried to log in as my palladin and it went "connecting..." for way too long, so I hit cancel, I did the same thing to my mule sorc that had a torch and some garbage on it and it failed. then it logged me out of bnet and when i got back in BOTH of them were "not found". They did not expire or anything, I know this for a fact because i was on both of them yesterday.

I'd appreciate any suggestions or tips.

Oh yeah and should I even bother reporting this to blizzard? I guess I will but later, I'm busy rightnow.

Did you log into a defferent server by accident?

EG. US WEst to Us East or something?

Oh btw, that was my brother who posted on my account heres what it is his characters that he created the other day are "not found" all of a sudden, i'm thinking its a possibility because, even though he was joking around their names were kind of offensive

however, not all of the offensive characternames got deleted, what hes trying to tell me is battle.net hates him and is trying to delete everything, i lol'd at that and decided maybe he should make a new account also

Oh yeah and just wanted to add that NEARLY ALL of my characters are now not found, two by expiration, and two randomly. So I just have two mules left, and their inventories aren't stuffed either.

I mean it doesn't say in their terms of agreement or anything about them having the right to delete your character for an offensive name, not that i know of atleast.

it doesnt say anything of that sort here, I'm thinking my problem might go under category number 3. I'll just haveto wait.

Well it's been well over eight hours now and they're still not found. I'd appreciate it anyone who has any idea what happened responds.

has anyone else's character been "not found" for over 8 hours? If so, is this problem usually temporary?
