So I've decided to try a 2-Handed Fanatic Zealot and the question that comes up of course is what to do with my leftover skill points after maxing Fanaticism, Zeal, and Sacrifice?
I am using a Reaper's Toll on my merc which should take care of the majority of physical immunes, thus I don't really need a backup skill like Holy Shock or anything...

any suggestions are welcome

Max holy shield on a paladin that doesn't use shield?

Get all the 1 point wonders, salva, redemption and so on. Then put rest points in the resist auras for the passive bonus.

I should mention that I'm using Guardian Angel armor so I already have 90 resist all... I guess 95 would be cool though :wink3:

Do that. My zealot uses GA and has 10 points in resist lightning. The main difference from yours being that he uses a shield. He can tank gloams, its insane.

What weapon you use?

I made 2hand Zealot too (max fana, zeal sacrifice too).
I used two polearms, Reapers Toll and Obedience at switch. Obedience was against bosses (nice crushing blow) and to trigger enchant (takes couple of seconds to kill 2-3 small ones to trigger that) then change to main weapon.

I just looked where I have put those rest.
5 in conversion, I rarely needed this so this was kind of useless. Those 2nd leech so nicely with 25 life leech and life tap triggers soon enough to keep life full. I put one in redemption, but huge life leech made that too useless.

I ended putting rest to conviction and one in holyshield. So I can use backup weapon for iron maiden areas. For normal play, I used this aura if monsters immune cant be broken Reapers Toll.
And to block any conviction aura that monsters use, so merc and char dont need stacked resist. Much easier to clear travi etc... if council members use conviction. Those bugged hydras kill merc too easily otherwise.

So max conviction, at least it has some use.

I'm currently using BotD in a Glorious Axe (around 6K-12K damage)

Conviction on switch isn't a bad idea (possibly with Gimmershred) purely for the IM areas...
