okay i need some help. for christmas we got a new iMac. hurry for me. but i installed diablo2 and i can't get it to load. it starts up plays through the blizzard logo and throught the first video but as soon as it gets to the main menu it wiggs out. first what i see is the diablo 2 logo on fire, dancing in place then the picture you see for the main menu looks like it was turned in to a tile game. then the program stops. doesn't frezzze just doesn't do anything. i say this becanuse the logo is still dancing and on fire.

could some help.

i'm hoping this just a problem with the settings.

I hope you get this figured out as I'm getting a new Mac Book soon and I'd like to play D2 on it...

Having the same problem, been away from D2 for a while and now getting back. Have Leopard installed on a Macbook Pro 2.33ghz system, get to the menu and the graphics are all wonky. What are the settings you adjusted to make D2 Run???

Figured it out. For those of you wondering:

Open Diablo 2, switch to windowed mode (Command + m) go to game -> options -> configure video, and change it to software rendering. OpenGL rendering apparently doesn't work on Leopard. Only thing dropped is the "perspective" option from the menu, on my laptop the rest works fine.
