View Full Version : Trapsin Discussion/Help!

I have never played an Assassin before, and I am only familiar with them as of late from reading these forums and trying to figure out as much information as possible.

Right now I have a Hammerdin as my only character (clvl 87). Because I am poor, I want to make a character to MF well for moderately cheap.


So, here are the questions I'd really like answered if possible:

1. What is the best character choice for creating a cheap MF so that I can make runs to get better items than I currently have?

2. Is a Trapsin a better choice than my Hammerdin to do this?

3. Please give me an idea of how my planned setup below will stack up on Hell Runs, and what I can expect to complete by myself with not such great items:

Projected Skills:
20 Fire Blast (for LI)
10 Shock Web
20 Charged Bolt Sentry
20 Lightning Sentry (Main Light Trap)
20 Death Sentry (Blow **** up)
1 Psychic Hammer (Prereq)
1 Clock of Shadows (Prereq, Semi Useful)
1 Mind Blast (Stunning)
=93 Total Skill Points to Achieve

Projected Stats:
~120 STR
~70 DEX
Rest into VIT

1. Sorceress, unenigmatized teleport makes her the best starting character for the bossruns (andy/meph). Blizz, meteorb or blizzballer all work.

Sadly I'll have to say a hdin is a better mfer then a trapper, except for a few specific targets (can think of pindle atm)

Looks good in my opinion, Jrichards guide (http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=513) should be able to answer most questions if you're feeling unsure.
