Moat Trick?

Can anyone please explain the moat trick to me? I looked at the guide to it, but that relies on pictures, and of course the links to those pictures are long dead.

Basically you lure meph to the edge of the moat. Then you tele below the moat, and hit him with blizz/meteor or w/e spell. He can't do anything to you, and if you stand far enough away you can cast spells on him and he won't use any on you.

Moat trick is basically teleporting to meph then teleporting back onto the other side which will cause meph to try to follow but can't because of the moat. He'll run side to side and won't be able to attack you because he has a certain range with his spells

Heads up: Be careful about bringing your merc. Not sure about a1 & a3 mercs, but you bring your a2 merc with you on a moat trick, and he'll keep walking up to the moat and getting himself (or you) hurt & killed.

That way Meph can't reach or attack either you or your merc, but you can attack him just in the rightupper corner of your screen.

You can use rogue merc while using moat trick. She even shoot meph too, so helps there too. And can kill all council members if your sorc cant.

Dont enchant rogue merc (if enchant sorc) before teleing to merc, she kills those dolls too fast.
