What ever happened to nova farmer sorcs?

I remember back in 1.08 and 1.09 when both nova and frost nova were so good.:rolleyes:

With the introduction of synergies and higher-life monsters in 1.10 Nova's, damage is kindof low(ish) now. Frost Nova can still become a pretty strong spell, but it doesn't leave a lot of room for a good backup skill.

Both are usable, just not powerhouse skills now.

nova isnt much damage, with maxed CB, Maxed L ,maxed CL, maxed LM, and almost max nova, hes doin 1000 damage :S ..

I think Nova can do some great damage. The trick is getting it to work effectively. You've got to surround yourself with as many enemies as you can.

So that Nova damage * monsters in the nova radius = total damage.
This leads to more problems. If you've got the gear, you need maximum damage to hopefully keep monsters in hit recovery. If not, you need to think defensive. ES + block and maybe even PDR would help you stay the center of attention without getting squashed.

But it's just way easier to just spam CL from half screen away.

easier yeah it is but i remember cowing with frost novaback in the day that risk of dieing is what kept it fun.
