First Time Makin a Sorc...PLease help

Ok guy Im not a newb to diablo but i just never liked playing sorc because of all the immunes in hell. I currently use a 89 summon Necro...88 hammerdin...89 whateverdin http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=414604

I have a pretty good idea what gear to use but what type of sorc is the best for quickly mfing and key hunting? Basic lightning sorc?

for my merc I have
ETh CA Infinity (300ed yay)
eth 3k def Duress
StealSkull (ptopazed)

I was planning on getting a defiance or a cold aura merc but I havent decided which.

For Myself I have set aside

tgods(i hate gloams/light guys)
Fcr res rings*2 with mf

44 travs

If you have infinity then definately go pure lightning.

You are 22 fcr short of hitting lightning bp (117)
You can easily solve this by swapping enigma and getting viper.
I'm not sure if you have max resist with your current gear but with viper you'll definately be at 75+

For your merc, I would aim for it to be a better tank with high resist
Like.. swapping the helmet for rockstopper maybe.

Well the steal skull on my merc was to provide him with life leach and a boost to my MF...

The reason I am using enigma (MP btw) is so I can have lower str and still meet the str requirements of spirit sheild.
I figure I get a bug rush and prolly don my equipment @ lvl 75
My base Str. will be 55
Nigma give 56str
Which gives enough for war travs +10str
which in turn gives enough for tgods +20
Total of 141 str.
then I have a 20/11 anni to top it all off.
161 str..so I can wear spirit sheild
hell if i wanted to i could prolly go with only 25 str or so and get a decent sorc storch to fix the str difference.

Whats better having higher fcr lets say using 1 fcr ring n a wisp and arachs n fcr ammy to hit that break point.= cast much faster
or 2 sojs n tgods? = more damage

WHat merc should I use?
Holy Freeze? or defiance?
WHat lvl auras do your mercinaries give?

-100 resist in hell
-70 getting 3 anya quests
-39 using 41 hoto
-4 using spirit (fire resist still at -39)
+7 Using anni
+27 using maras

How much resist does your torch and rings give? Nice to have more stats available but useless when you don't have max resist and will die from the weakest of monster elemental attacks

I prefer Holy freeze which is.. nm act2 defense

To have 117fcr > damage because you already do enough damage with infinity merc and you can cast faster while at it.

Ok first off you cant get a 41 hoto..40s max....

10 fcr 10res all
I dont have a maras but i do have a 18 fcr/20 res all rare amulet...no skills :(

Skills would be nice but I guess don't really need.
I still think you have a resist problem >
