**note this is my 1st guide, and i am still playing with the build, as i finish the build i will tweak this guide. Suggestions are always welcomed**

Fire Trapper.

This is not your normal build. In a nut shell you trade places with your Shadow master. Where you spend most of your time giving support (laying traps) and letting your shadow master tank for you. its a weird game style, but is really fun to play. Once shadow master is maxed you almost never have to recast (including boss fights!)

In a nut shell, you use the wake of inferno for baal runs and bosses and wake of fire for supporting your shadow master. The damage from the fire traps is not as much as you would see from the lightning traps, but they are much faster and take alot less energy to cast, allowing you to spam more!!

Skill Distribution

for the first few points put 1 skill in each of the following
Claw Mastery
Burst of speed
Fire Bast.

keep saving skill points to level 12 then put a point in
weapon block
wake of fire

Keep putting skills in wake of fire until you have 5-6 points invested.

at level 18 put a point in:
shadow warrior

At level 24 put a point i:n
wake of Inferno

keep pumping wake of inferno until level 30

at level 30:
keep putting points in shadow master until it is maxed.

If you still have spare points, keep putting them in wake of inferno.

Once Shadow master is maxed then Max:
Wake of inferno
wake of Fire

and then work on:
Burst of speed

and lastly:
Claw Mastery

Leveling tips:

lvl 1 - 5 Den of evil and out laying areas
lvl 6 - 14 Trist Runs
lvl 14 - 20 Tomb Runs (or if there aren't any keep joining act 2 games)
lvl 20 - 25 Cow runs / act 3 begging lvls in groups / Tomb Runs / ancients
lvl 25 - 50 Baal Runs
lvl 50 - 75 NM Baal Runs
lvl 75 - 85 (or higher) hell Baal Runs

i will typically do normal by my self, and give up my forge for nightmare / hell rushes

Heya,

You know the lvl24 Fire trap is really bad right? Even with max synergies and super high skills, it does little to no damage in Hell mode. All the `spray' like skills are bugged (sorc inferno, druid cold blast, assa inferno trap) and do less damage than is listed.

Also, suggesting rushing for later parts of the game really hurts the `guide.'

Good luck with your build though.

Cheers,

You put 15 points in BoS which is a waste, didnt max fb which means your wof/woi damage will be very low, have bad stat distribution, and recommend gear that you just happened to find, without offering any explaination or alternatives.

While Im sure you can get through the game with gear that you find, this is far from a "guide" and you are going to have a very weak character by lategame hell difficulty.

I dont recommend anyone to follow this character layout you have.

hence this being my 1st guide its a bit fo a learning curve.

as WOI was my main focus, maxing fire blast does nothing but add length to WOI.

as for lasting in hell you are probly correct. This is meant to be a fun build. not your standard cookie cutter build.

as for the gear, as stated this is "in progress" Build i will probably remake this build 5 or 6 times and by then it will be tweaked and i will have located some good end of game gear.

that what you have writen can not be called guide. this stuff sounds like writing touristic guide to London but never been there...

and this just dont have any sense at all:

15 Claws
15 Burst of speed

also fire blast is the damage sinergy for WOI and WOF, and not increasing length, but you comment that observation from wizAdept without checking it.

this also does not sounds like fun build. i dont see any fun in not be able to clear den of evil in hell.

to me wake of fire is one of the most graphically atractive skill. if you gonna rebuild, start this immediately. my proposed skill layout is:

fire blast 20
wake of fire 20
wake of inferno 20
death sentry 20
1 in mind blast
1 fade
1 bos
enough for lev 17 shadow master (get 2x3 shadow claws on switch)
rest in lightning sentry (sinergy for fire blast and death sentry)

you can easily get at least +10 to skills from equipment that you can buy for pgs
aim for as much + skills as you can get

and no points in energy. sorcs can play without investment in energy so can trapper. for me only char which have to invest in energy is es sorc

also get your self holy freeze act 2 merc (can be bought on nightmare)

and dont underestimate fire blast. it will be your highest damaging skill (on paper)
