Hope this is an easy questions for someone to answer.

Currently I'm building a Meteorb, and missing only the Tal Ammy for the set. I've heard this set is one of the best, if not the best, for a Meteorb sorc? True?

Here's the actual question for the thread. Should you socket anything into the orb, armor, and helm of the Tal set? If so what? I'm using her mostly as a MF sorc, but I want to be able to kill fast as well. And shield I made a spirit monarch so no sockets in there.

Thanks!

true.

There's a thread in the build-guides sticky named The Truth about Tal's Set. It's quite an interesting read, and it deals mostly with a MF Meteorb sorc using Tal's set compared to another "best" setup. There's a little math in there, but it's very clearly laid out, so it's not hard to follow.

Basically what Willie said, although I would base my strategy on first getting 250-300 MF. If you don't have that much from your equipment and charms, then I'd put a Perfect Topaz in the helm and/or armor (and maybe even an Ist rune in the orb, but that's a little more expensive). After that amount of MF is reached, then I'd look at Fire facets, or Perfect Rubies, or perhaps even a jewel or rune that provides fire/light resistances if you haven't max'ed those two elements (cold & poison resists aren't as important).

Guess I could of provided that information for ya'll. So here it is, just went in game and got.

Currently I run Tal's set, Manald and rare +str ring, Magefist, Travs (30), and a unique shield with resists. Have to consider that shield is not going to stay (made a Spirit monarch), so subtract 15 from these numbers.

My resists are surprisingly well off, to me at least. In hell they are:
Fire - 72%
Cold - 75%
Lightning- 75%
Poison - 32%

My total mf that I run on just basic equipment is at 220%. I suppose for bosses I could have ali baba and rhyme on switch, to reach that mark you stated, but it wouldn't help for area runs.
