Allright, so i have a little problem.
I dont even know if this is the right forum for this kind of question but i'll have a go and see if someone might have any ideas.

Oh well after playing Diablo for a while, almost an hour or so, it can happen at any time tho, my screen turns black and the computer has to be restarted. Imagine muling something valuable, screen turns black and you get back on just to notice it's all gone

However, this only happens while playing Diablo. So i guess it's some graphics thingy that's not right here. For other games, lets say Fifa08, this is not a problem. Can chat, surf, watch movies, play other games without this happening. Only Diablo is being a *****.

Anyone god any ideas? I got the latest DirectX so i guess it's not that.

sounds like a heat related problem

make sure the all of fans in your case are working properly

and check the temps on your cpu and video card if possible
(f1, f10, f12 or del on restart to go to bios and there should be a page with voltages/temps ect..)

if you have a nvidia video card with the latest drivers it can monitor the gpu temp for you
start -> settings -> control panel -> nvidia control panel
monitor temp levels on the right navigation pane

cpu shouldnt excede 60ºC 140ºF
my gpu sets around 50ºC 122ºF (geforce 7600gs 512 agp)

Thanks for your help m8 :) Thought, I've checked all my fans, and they all seem to work just fine..
Screen turned black like 5 times yesterday, quite annoying really.

Anyone have more ideas?

interestingly.
say your ambient (room) temp? what power supply u have? it seems, that your hardware draws too much power from power supply and it restarts computer to protect your hardware.

Room temperature is normal. Nothing special there, power supply 12 V? A year ago or so, a fan crashed so we replaced the whole power supply.. But all fans are working now so this is weirdy

that fans are working, that shows nothing. say your power supply rate in wats.
