So,went back to DII after a long time...about 8-9 months.Recently reinstalled windows,dloaded all the necessary drivers for everything.
Been happily playng Mount&Blade and Counter-Strike ever since.
However,DII seeems to have a problem.The screen flickers and black stripes go all over it when I start the game.These persist throughout the menus and the game itself,obscuring objects and text at random.Otherwise,there is no visible degrading in fps.
Drivers are a month old,so's the windows reinstall.Switched to direct draw,works like a charm.
Questions to the DII gods:
Am I missing anything special by playing on direct draw?
If so,what can I do to fix the problem(wich has never occured before on the same sistem,athlon xp 2400 plus,Leadtek A6600 GT TDH nvidia 6600gt with 1 GB of ram,and windows XP pro,latest updates installed.)
