Well, Im semi-new to Diablo 2 LOD, as I just bought it a week and a day ago, and Im asking for some help. Im thinking of making a MF Barbarian. I dont have any eq to twink him, and I read all these guides where I have to get him khalims will and stuff, and Im wondering, what the heck?

So, Im wondering if someone can inform me of a guide that is good for beginners to Diablo for preferablly WW Barbs, but any Barb is fine. I have read through a couple of them, but It would take too long too read through all of them. So if anyone can direct me too a guide that is good for Barb Beginners, I would be thankful.

Thanks to whoever can get me a guide for a WW or any type of Barb!(Untwinked)

Edit: I also hear a lot bout the IK set, what do those items drop from(what monsters)
P.S if anyone wants to drop some help me to me, my Barb's name is GxBarbarian, ill be playing him. USEast ladder.

It would be very hard to build a character that needs specific or good equipment at the beginning, and melee characters such as most Barbarians are very dependant on good items.

If you want a character that can handle just about anything without too much difficulty, then may I recommend a Skelemancer (a.k.a. Fishymancer). Check in the stickies in the Necromancer forum. Your Skelemancer should be able to get to the hardest areas of the game, where you can pick up high level items for other characters.

Once you have a few items, I'd probably recommend a Meteorb. (See Sorceress Forum). The Meteorb will be very fast and quite good at boss running.

From there, see what items you can get, and build your next characters around the items you have.

Have fun!

P.S. The IK set is the Immortal King (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/sets/sets5.shtml#immortalking) set.

I am also fairly new and recommend starting small, and just playing a while to get yourself familiar and not try to run immediately to the "über" stuff. For this, a necro is great, as was said, and can help find stuff your other chars can use later.

Well, I tried NM Meph, with what items I had on me, which are below average for my level(75). I ended up killing him, without any revives. Just my merc,9 skells,5 mages, and a clay golem, though I lost 3 skells, I got nothing good from him.

If you can kill nm mephisto, you ought to be able to fudge your way through the pits in hell. You'll stand a much better chance of finding endgame items there, though, it's pretty much a crap shoot either way.

You have to do that a few hundreds of times and not just once :azn:. If reaching and killing him takes longer than 3 minutes (I assume that's the case here), try it with a sorceress and visit other places with your necro.

A L75 necro should have no problems at killing everything in nightmare, so I suggest killing cows or monsters in the Worldstone Keep, including the Baal minions, or try act 1 hell (e.g. the Pits below the Tamoe Highlands). Act bosses are just the creamtop for a character like yours, as he cannot skip the obstacles on the way by teleporting and he also cannot blow up the act bosses very well with corpse explosion.
