Big leak in my health orb

Hi,

I'm in hell now for the first time ever, and often my Frenzy barb takes damage and I pop a bunch of health and the life orb just doesn't budge. I can see a light shading that goes all the way to the top, but it just doesn't fill. I have 1530 Life. w/ battle orders 3k.

Seems to happen with some monsters more than others, but I can't see a pattern.

I have 46% from 2 BOTD Zerks, Draculs and Arreat. PLus +15 to life after each kill from Enigma means I hardly ever need to use pots.

Seems to happen with some monsters more than others, but I can't see a pattern.Are you sure it's not just filling slowly? Potions have different application rates. You might want to try larger potions. Small potions in combination with larger potions will slow down the application rate.

Leech on weapons only applies to the weapon it is on, the leech on the one weapon won't be applied to the other. For a frenzy barb it's better to exchange the off-weapon with something different, it won't affect speed if it's the same base weapon. BotD+Death is an excellent combination.

Also the effectiveness of Life/Mana Stealing are cut 2/3 in Hell., unsure if you factored for that.

Maybe it's the speed that it fills up. Sometimes it's so slow it doesn't look like its moving. I usually only have greater or super pots, is there much of a difference in speed with those?

The other possibility is that after I pop a health, I get hit and it cancels out the health pot.

when you have a ton of life with b/o it's hard to see it go up with a healing potion. i'd suggest trying to get full rejuv's and you get instant full life. and if you potion shading is taken away as soon as you get hit maybe you need more defense?

The defense thing in Hell is messing with me. I keep swapping back and forth between Smoke armor for resist, and Adamant Dusk shroud for high defense. I'm trying to find a happy medium. I built "myth" armor, but Hell is so bad I hardly can wear it now. Too bad too because +2 skills is nice.
