Interesting idea??

Has anyone tried a lightning trapper that uses trangs gloves and belt to get lvl 18 fireball? Seems like if combined with a holy freeze merc this could be fun and gear wouldnt matter too much(unless you NEED those godly LS claws). just an idea i had.

i thought you only got that if you equipped the whole set you got the fireball?

Arreat Summit says fireball at 2 items, wall at 3 and meteor at 4

Correct only 2 are needed. It's and idea, but since the fix of the charges synergy bug (mostly used by bonenecs in the form of marrowalk bug) it doesn't work well enough for a reliable LI killer. Without any type of buff to it from fire mastery conviction or lower res you'll really not do enough damage with it to make it worthwhile in my opinion.

1 point fireblast may even do more damage, depends on your +skills.

I think you could come up with enough physical dmg from weapons to deal with LI, just fireball and LS on a frozen bunch seemed like a cool idea

Your gear won't have the fcr to support fireball either unlike fireblast.
