Knockback?

Can someone clear up for me how knockback works? Do you always knockback or is it a percentage? My sources of knockback are going to be from Nef rune, Hit Power Crafted Gloves, or Rare Gloves with it.

It knocks back small, medium and large monsters 100%, 50% and 25% of the time, respectively. Act bosses cannot be knocked back at all.

Knockback is obviously very nice in combination with a ranged weapon, but it can be a nuisance or even dangerous in melee.

Chance to cause Knockback

Vs. large (eLarge): 32/128 = 25%
Vs. small (eSmall): 128/128 = 100%
everyone else: 64/128 = 50%

Large are Urduars and such; Small are Fallens. Don't have a comprehensive list, though.

Also I dont think rare gloves can spawn with kb .. only crafted gloves can get it afaik
