One more MF question

Hi, i have this question i never get an answer but you guys are smart :D

So if i have more mf will it decrease my chance of finding sockatables?
And if MF just makes normal items magic/rare/unique does it help finding charms and runes? Cuz there is obviously no normal form of charms/runes.

Sofar my best finding were sockatables and charms so im worried about screwing up my game by geting more MF.

High MF means that more items will be magical which would have been nonmagical instead, so the amount of socketables will decrease if you increase your MF bonus. It also affects the chance for an item to be unique, a set item or rare. MF only affects items which can be of different kinds (normal/magical/set/unique). It does not affect their number or base type. That means MF has no effect on runes, neither on their number nor on their quality. Only grand charms are affected by MF, as there's a unique grand charm (which results into slightly less magical GCs). All other regular charms are magical, so MF cannot affect them.
