View Full Version : The Lost Runeword "Disappointment"!? The Kashya allusion.
There appears to be evidence of an unlocked or forgotten runeword whose name just may be "Disappointment."
When asked about The Forgotten Tower Kashya told me, and I quote, "The tome speaks of treasure, yet all we have found is death, delerium, and disappointment.
Death and Delerium are KNOWN runewords! And who in the the Tower has tons of runes? That's right, The Countess!
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...........
Interesting, love conspiracy theories.
Would be a very weird runeword though "disappointment", probably something like:
20% increased chance of all duped runes vanishing out of socketed items
10-15% chance of account getting temporarily disabled (varies)
+350 to ping
3-4% chance of IM spawning on self on hit (varies)
7% chance of spawning amplify damage on self when struck
1% chance of instant death over 20 seconds on attack
LOL Doppel, that's probably it! But we can only speculate...
But MORE evidence exists! I asked her again about The Forgotten Tower and she mockingly replied, "Have you suddenly lost your taste for wealth?" WEALTH is another known runeword!
Further, when Charsi was interviewed about the matter, she spoke of how "several sisters had come to a gruesome end when a stairwell had collapsed on them." So it appears that Kashya, or someone, had orchestrated some Countess runs at some time in the past.
The "Disappointment" mystery continues... what is "Disappointment"???
Maybe "Disappointment" would be that there is no such runeword, hope you are on to something though.
I think you can get the disappointment if you put 6 self-found hrs, randomly, into a berserker axe.
Hmmm, you may have got something there. Maybe "disappointment" isn't a runeword per se, but just Kashya's way of telling us of her past failed attempts in discovering new runewords.
not "disappointment", but there was a runeword called "deception".
Really? Any idea on what that did? Are there a bunch of discontinued or unlocked runewords?

Hey I know this runeword, It's Called "bnet"
I think the temp ban mod variable is a bit higher then that
I'd really like to see more bow and dagger runewords. And something for orbs
Same here Zap, but, there are some "weapon" runewords, wich means you can socket them into any weapon (if it has the number of sockets the runeword requires ofcourse)
I'm pretty sure all of them are tried and tested.
Fury in a Dimensional shard, sadly Barbarians can't wield orbs for some reason.
You could also make something like a "strength" wand.
There are some interesting combinations to experiment with.
Wish you could have a bit of that experimentation in armors though, can you imagine how godly stealth or splendor in a good 2 sox druid pelt with good automods would be?
You mean like if "armor" was simply "armor" (like it is for cube recipes). That would be crazy. Spirit armor would be interesting.
Yeah new runeword
1 mod:
100% chance to be dissapointed

Not for all of them, but for some, like the "weapon" runewords.
Most of those runewords actually say "Body Armor" even on the AS.
Enigma in a 3nado or 3bo helm anyone?

Thats why i say "some of them" like the examples "stealth" and "splendor" (kinda crappy "body" armor runewords) i gave just to avoid things like 3bo enigma helms.
we need more low level armor runewords, the next ones up from stealth is lionheart and smoke, and they both take Lum.
