Auradin's seem to be popular for PvP, but I don't PvP at all, so this is strictly a PvM question.
I've been pondering making an auradin for awhile, I understand the concept, just need to assemble the gear. As I was reading, I got to pondering, could it be possible to double the pulse damage over time by making an auradin clone out of an Act III merc?
Me: Paladin - wearing auradin gear, using Conviction
Merc: Act III - also wearing auradin gear.
How would the auras interact with each other? I know they would not simply stack and double the level, but would my auras pulse, then his auras? If so, this would result in doubling the damage over time, right?
I'm assuming that I'm wrong, the game would only pulse one aura, the other would do nothing, since they'd be of equal level.
Does auradin gear even work on mercs? If it does, would it be possible to gear the merc with auradin gear to get the lit and fire pulses, then gear yourself differently and still use conviction to benefit your merc's pulses (plus your own damage, depending on what you choose)?
 If mercs can be mini-auradin's, maybe I'll make one to drag around behind my hammerdin.
