So i'm using a PB and zealing.

break points are:

0 ias 6 fps
13 ias 5 fps
72 ias 4 fps

My question is, once you make it to a "fps level" is it useless to add more Ias if the additional ias fails to push you to the next level? i.e. Say I have 20 ias and am in the 5 fps level. Would adding 10 additional Ias be meaningless because I am not over the 72?

it would be meaningless. you would attack at the exact same speed with 13 ias as with 71 ias.

Yes, it is meaningless. Attack speed in fpa is always an integer number. You can attack at 5 or 6 fpa, but not at 5.43 or 5.79364 fpa.

Some attack speed calculators do show things like 5.5 fpa for skills like frenzy, but that actually means an 11 fpa attack where an attack consists of one swing with each weapon.
