Crafting Question

I know you can up uniques and rares with the cube.

Can you upgrade craft items? If so, does it require a specific formula other then the rare or unqiue one?

Edit: I'm not sure if you can up magic but if so you would have to before crafting it.

Thanks for quick reply. Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, you cannot even upgrade magical items.
