bone spirit doesn't seek target?

i was just using my oath, and i saw bone spirits going in a straight line when the monster i was hitting when it was casts was already dead, if the monster lived, it would go back to the target, lke it's supposed to, but when it was dead, and other monsters were walking around, it would go in a straight line, this isn't supposed to happen right? so is it because i's from chance to cast, or?

If you fire your bone spirit at a target you namelocked it will only go after that target. So if this target dies the spirit will go in a straight line because it was only going after that namelocked target.
So if you want to prevent casting spirits without them hitting anything just fire them at thin air. If you do this they will try to find and hit a target that the spirit chooses by himself (most of the time the strongest monster on the screen, like champions and uniques).
So there is nothing to worry about moiselvus, your spirit is supposed to go in a straight line if it is fired at a target and the target is dead before the spirit is able to hit it.
