Only 2 or 3 choices in PvP?

hey guys

i plan on making a few pvp chars. however, i do know that some ppl say that if u want to BM, make a char whose dmg cant be absorbed. so that leaves sorcs, zons, anyone with dmg that can be absorbed.

SO, that leaves:

bone nec
hammerdin
and.....bvc? i know its absorbable but due to very high dmg....lets say its unabsorbable :thumbsup:

so...only these 3 chars if u want to bm/ own pub games? thats not a lot of options lol

you forgot wind druids....

but yuh, the ease of absorbing elemental attacks has essentially destroyed a HUGE cross-section of otherwise viable builds.

wwsins also, cold sorcs are hard to sorb (possible but harder)

ww-sins & ww/trap hybrids can be sorbed to the point the only damage you do is via Open Wounds.

it takes a long time to kill a 5k+life hammerdin with just OW and you'll never beat a half-competant barb.

Well, every character has bad matchups, a BvC won't beat a competent BvB and a necro has a hard time vs windy etc... and if you set up your gear right, you can beat a hammerdin with 5k life, I don't see how it's so hard... whirlwind is physical damage too you know.

venom can´t be sorbed, really. Try poisonmancer or plague javelin amazon, that´s what I call fun .) OR for total pub ownage, try Bear + Volcano druid, works wonderfully .)

or hell, try a super hybrid of some builds already done. just be sure you have the experience to utilize every form of attack :D

Poison Length Reduction & +max poison res can be used to negate venom.

antidote pots come to mind as an ez and cheap method of nerfing venom (or any other poison attack).

it's lame, but its easy to do.

if we are going to start talking hybrids, then mage definitely should be added to the list.

the hammers are ~10k which is enough to kill most pubbers and it gives you 4k+ foh which allows you to nk people with ease. the only thing you have to worry about is windy druids and hdins.

4 seconds in hell and if you drink antidotes before fight you get +10 max psn res and 50 res for 30*amount of potions seconds.

you can't absorb physical damage, you can reduce it by % amount of physical damage dealt to player, but not absorbing it.
