Hi, I'm playing a single player, legit, no twinking or hacking Fireclaws druid and I wanted to get some help with a few concerns I had about skill placement.

- 20 Lycanthropy over 20 points in a 4th fire skill

I think this would be better since it's a 1-player game, so excessively high damage is not needed. Also, since there's not going to be 9x skill charms, the Lycanthropy duration and life helps.

- 20 Firestorm over 20 Volcano

Is this a good idea? The idea was that Volcano in and of itself would not be used much, so the 20 in Firestorm saves me 1 skill point which is big for untwinked and unrushed gameplay.

- 20 Volcano

Is there any time I could expect to have to use fire skills to progress through the game, i.e. I do not have a shael weapon and I need to play as a fire druid until my fire claws is fast enough. And if so, would Volcano be necessary, or is 20 Fissure good enough?

- 1 Oak Sage

Is it worth 1 point for 30% life increase? It will definitely die at 60 life and I won't have much skill boosting items to increase it. Should I just not bother to waste the point?

Thanks in advance.

Here are some short answers:
- at least 10 points in Lycanthropy if you're untwinked. 20 is better.
- 1 pt Oak Sage is useless because he dies to easily. Either max it or don't use it at all. I suggest you don't use it here.
- the following synergies are prefered: Volcano and Molten Boulder. This gives you a way to deal with fire immunes (unshift and cast Volcano, Boulder adds physical damage)
- Just try to find the fastest possible weapon, damage doesn't matter. If you find Shaels it helps a lot obviously, but try shopping for fast weapons with IAS.

1 point in oak sage is actually useful. yes its going to die easily, but so do higher lvl oak sages once you reach hell. after a while you'll find some better gear and it will get boosted alot giving you alot of life, all for 1 point invested.

since you're playing untwinked you may want to max volcano over firestorm. your only wasting one point skipping over firestorm to max it, but the useful-ness of volcano cant be ignored.

Volcano deals with phys immunes so it should be maxed. Otherwise, you'll be whacking at FIs for quite some time unless you opt to SW and run.
