Bone Nec. Can't be absorbed. Valuable team player. Ability to BM pub efficiently when necessary. Strong and flexible even with block setup. Gumby slow > Fireman. Stronger Bone Armor. Able to stack and keep 125 FCR without losing much damage. You can play like a Xombie. :P You will be able to cut cookies.

Break the mold... Play a Poison Necro. Hard to absorb. Not many people carry anti-poison gear. Effective in Teams for the High Level Lower Resist.

Struggles to get 125FCR with Death's Web... Hard to absorb with without losing either Dweb or 125 FCR... You get Gumby too! Next to impossible to Block with decent FCR and Dweb. Almost demands a 15+FCR ammy...

Cool character if you are bored though. It is mainly for fun and nowhere near as viable as a Bone Necromancer...

bone necro is stronger but I think that a poison necro still has potential in GM duels.
Poison got style bonus for sure

Poison can be good but where it fails is the lack of range, i.e has to be close to hit with the nova. Setup as well i find running 75% fcr is the only way use deathweb easier and -psn res gear and stack etc without sacrificing dmg and versatility, i.e things like block.

Weakness is that it has to duel in hell pubies to get the full benifit of the psn length increase to do good dmg. Hope ur opponment can not stack psn res well or carry psn length reduction gear and antidotes which give 10 + psn max res and 50% res to psn.

Make a bone. Unless you enjoy losing, then make a psn.

Lets be serious now, if psn necros are any good, pubs would be full of them.

Never settle for less then 125% fcr as a psn nova nec. I learned the hard way, srsly.. dont.

In the end, it really depends. You can't really call either a "unique" build, though poison is by far less common. It comes down to this:
1. Do you like to use a character which has the potential to dominate just about everyone but is cookie-cut.

OR

2. Do you like to use a character that is rare and "unique", though a fair bit weaker.
