I've started up a Werebear druid with my main attack as Maul. I have maul at lvl20 now and werebear at lvl14. My question is if my main attack is Maul, do I also need to lvl up werebear? Does having werebear maxed help the maul attack? I wasted 2 points early on in the element tree, and I'm gonna need every point I have, as I also plan to max out the HOW and Grizzly.

Also I found Duriel's Shell armor, and Hellmouth Guantlets are these a good armor for the WB? Whats the best weapon I can get for my WB? I currently have the Dark Clan Crusher club with +2 to druid skills, nice but it lacks damage.

id max werebear. maul is a charge up skill so it takes several hits to build up your damage. werebear gives you enhanced damage right away.

best weapon is a griss caddy socketed with 3 ed/15ias jewels + a shael. i also find an ebotdz is awesome in pvm when used with highlords.

Like ^ said, Werebear gives +% ED, so it does contribute to your damage.

Duriel's Shell is a pretty good armor if you are just building up, until you can get something like Fortitude. There's a lot of things you can replace Hellmouth with though - Bloodfist, rares, etc.

duress is an easy somewhat cheap armor that will help you alot too.

thats a pvp mauler guide. even if you're pvm this guide will still give you a good idea on what stats and end gear to shoot for.
