to all who just want to spend some time with family.

I'll be making a 6-1/2 hour drive. Good "thinking time".

All the better if me and my brother do not fight.

What are you doing?

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'll be at home where several relatives will be showing up with their contributions of assorted goodies for dinner, then a movie after the football games. :prop:

I'm heading over to some friends home to eat, drink, tell lies and generally have a good old time. I'm taking my black bean and bacon stew over. By the next morning even the dog is going to be disgusted by the stink

Chili and pumpkin pie (both made from scratch) for me, my better half, and our fellow friends that are far away from family during the holidays. (football and beer are, of course, included as well as whatever other treats/sides people decide to bring.)

Just a bunch of friends are getting together tomorrow to eat and hang out. Time to get fat on turkey and beer. :cloud9: I would go home but I don't really feel like dring 4.5 hours and spending $70 on gas.

Heading up to Leander to spend TDay with my father and my stepfamily. My Mother et al are too far away, and I work every night over the break.

It is Thursday. I am at the office now. After work I go teach a class; then I will see the wife and baby. (They're staying with her parents for a few days.) It's our anniversary today!

Going to study line integration, read Hamlet, and finish a philosophy paper. Break is about finishing homework.

Thanksgiving kind of sucked a bit. My son shared his flu with me so I have been sick since yesterday afternoon.

I can honestly say this was the best turkey I have ever made. There were no leftovers. Of course I did make a nice plate up for my three cats.

We had some snow today. My daughter and I went out and bought some new gloves in hopes that we may get enough overnight to do something.

The grocer was also open today so I did my weekly shopping so I won't have to brave the crowds/traffic on Black Friday.

A late Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, and make sure to savor those leftovers. If you have them.

Had a big gathering at my sister's house in San Diego. 20 people. 5 of us are USC alums, so dinner was planned around the game. Good food, good company, and a good win. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I didn't see my family, and I cooked one of the couple of things I cook for myself every day, so it was a pretty good day.

We went to the same aunt's house that we always do for thanksgiving.

I spent most of my time reading a Diesel Engines magazine of my uncle's. Family is kinda boring.

Somehow, we didn't have cranberry sauce :sad2: And the turkey doesn't stay warm very long either. (And I'm not much of a fan of gravy) I could have eaten quite a bit more, but oh well.

This was the best Thanksgiving in far too many years. It only could have been better had the rugrat been with me

Drove 10 or 11 hours back up to God's country to visit with the parents, for what I feel may be the last Thanksgiving we get to have with my elderly father. While there, I found out that my meth-addicted older brother has been clean for 3 months, and is actually able to have a normal conversation without asking to borrow money. We spent 4 glorious days in the beautiful Big Thicket Pine Forest of East Texas with good food, family, and friends.

The only thing that'd have made it a better trip would have been my stepdaughter and the 2 grandbabies going with us. Unfortunately, she'd rather spend the holiday sitting alone in an apartment, waiting for her drug addicted Subway assistant manager boyfriend to get off work than spend time with those who love her. We met them for dinner tonight as we passed back through on the way home, and my babies were more beautiful than ever.

There are trees in Texas?

Glad you got to see people who needed to be seen.

Bortaz is lying, actually. There are no trees in Texas, just large bushes.

Wait till you've been to more than one county before you make statements like that, whippersnapper.

Leftovers for lunch. Turkey salad. Of course there were a few days in there that we took a break from leftovers.
