New Build Ideas! Help me out!

If you have an unconventional PVP build suggest it here!

I have a FC druid already. I tried something I always wanted to try, Shocker/Armageddon for PVP and it was... ok. I may revisit it, but for now it was pretty barf. I did get a few luck kills with Armageddon making people go, "HUH wtf?"

What's your opinion on Shamans? Fire druid with a Grizzly any good?

A build I was thinking... A take on the Rabies build for PVP.

I call it... Rabid Friends!

20 Rabies
20 Poison Creeper
20 Dire Wolf
20 Grizzly
20 Wolf or Lycan?

Basically rabies build foregoing fury for Grizzly. Dunno, might try it if I have time.

Give me cool ideas for PVP! :grin:

hmm im not really sure, i havnt played a shaman or anythin idk how well a bear will work out with massive +skills but u do have dire wolf for a synergy i guess rabies would always work, but i honestly dont see the point. either u go massive rabies and not many +skills or go massive +skills and let rabies suffer.

Bear with high life together with thorns from bramble can be useful versus ww barbs, you need only 1 point bear for that and some points spent in dire wolfs.
Other than that, I don't see much good in rabies + bear build.

Shamans used to be able to dominate in 1.09 before the nubbishness called synergies. And enigma. Also since the Oak Sage bug was fixed, we have to waste points in that too :(

Verashiden, I'm contemplating that... Only thing holding me back is that I have a FC druid I'm extremely happy with already.

With the Rabies/Grizzly build... I dunno. It just seems fun. My rabies will still be fairly high, especially with Trang's and other items like that, but I'll have a Grizzly I can summon on top of people to bash them. I dunno, it's all theory. I may just give it a go and see what happens.

i kind of like the idea of this build. Use bramble for thorns which will help with a pumped up grizzly.

Is there a build called "wolf Lord" or something like that? I thought I saw it once...for pvm...

I believe you max Lycan, werewolf, fury and direwolves and spirit of choice?

I was thinking about making one of these...could be fun, I would think that getting those wolves up to high lvls would make them tough little buggers.

Widow is less effective against good hammerdins, but not entirely useless. :azn:

Honestly I don't even see the counter-debate about this though mystic :[ ... a good barb with fort can do a good 2k GA with high lvl open wounds, clearly it isn't gonna make or break a good hammerdin but it's enough to do "something" where he can't just sit and yawn while spamming hammers is all I was saying:thumbsup: .
I'm not saying after like 30 seconds ... but after a few minutes go by... the hammer will lose eventually unless he gets his act together and starts landing hits, it doesn't take a genius to realize this. And when I say "I don't see the counter-argument" I mean what is the alternative, you're better off not using widow? :rolleyes: That makes zero sense to me, its free damage no matter how high or low, if used right.

Akuma is a noob, his only legitimate case is that if "they" use GA he'll use sanctuary and slow missle them, which actually is contradictory to his case that GA does nothing... lol...otherwise why would he need sanctuary? <cough>

and with that I end the argument, its silly anyways :)

Yea, those were very fun matches Jary. My Vampire pvp'er is coming together. I might write a guide if I have some time and the build turns out decent.

As for my next build...

I'm thinking Rabies Druid with Grizz would be fun and fairly cheap. I would use Rabies as the main attack, Feral Rage to zip around (Feral Rage charges even on missed hits no?) and Grizzly to do some physical dmg. I can zip away with feral and summon grizzly on top of people when they attempt to chase me down before rabies kills them.


Hmm or maybe try my hand at a Wolf barb, but incorporare WW into the mix. I really want to make another druid.

I got a weird idea... prob won't ever work, but how effective is hunger in pvp? I know leech is nerfed all to hell, but will have an effect similiar to lifetap? Never used it before.

I believe you're thinking of Wolfbrother, I've seen it on gamefaqs.

That Harmony was a clutch idea. I sorta like the idea of morphing in and out for speed, that is cool. Deffinitely will take practice :)

I'm thinking a point in clay golem and mastery, maybe even 1 in revive for kicks, added with valkyre would deffinitely add some good random distractions... and since no teleporting they can even save you from stray fireballs and melee damage methinks. Good ideas, can't wait

Hunger just doesn't work. It has a horrible time hitting even with good ar sadly, it's hard to explain... like a T-rex trying to box... is what it feels like.
I had a lvl 92 hybrid maul/hunger with azurewrath, dracs, cerebrus, enigma, gores, highlords, ss that I used for pvp here and there back in the day. Although I had some success tanking windies and slow casters and pelting them to death with stun at 6fpa, I did try a few times using hunger... thinking maybe it'll do all right swinging an extra frame faster.... totally sucked lol. Yeah, occasionally you'd come across a pure "vita" sorta caster that you'll just pin down and chew to death sorta like shockwave :P
But it's similar to the lines of mindblasting someone to death lol
