How to make a PVP zealer with my "budget"?

I'll have like 4-6 large charms of +5 str, and some small FHR charms.

Also, how should I build it stat wise if I want full block and AR?

I'm not THAT rich so a Grief or an Exile is out of the question. Any ideas? With those items, I should have full resist, a 2frame FHR, and a 2 frame zeal.

Phase Blades can't be ethereal. Go for a Grief.

What is a good item to have ebotd on (one hander) ? Also, going to trade that Highlords for a cat's eye. I think that's a good trade :O.

ebotdz....... Grief has the highest runes of Mal Lo... and the sword: 5s, phaseblade, only thingy worth mentioning is the 2range on it compared to the BA which has more damage and more range, but sucks PvM because of the constant repairing of it. Grief also enables 1pt smiting, which is very handy in duels..

here are my suggestions:

1.)if ur going to make Botd make it in a ebotdz, is gonna be the same speed as a phase botd cuz zeal frame is capped at 4, and u have much more dmg with ebotdz even with a low ed one too

2.)dont use drainer , use either drac(cuz of open wounds and it give u life tap since u cant afford exile) or rends (for its ed%), and if ur in a budget drac is cheaper than rends, but if u have items such as .08 gaze and etreks, i pretty sure u can afford a decent rend

3.)use gore instead of etreks

4.)as for ammy and rings i recommand angelic and ring combo , with that u have very high ar, which is need against high def char. and if u use ebotdz u dont need any more ias so highlord is not needed for ias

5.)shield , since u said u cant afford exile i go with ss monarch if u need the dr otherwise i recommand using alma negra for melee, sanatuary if u duel against caster

6.)belt i recommand dungo for the dr% and vit

7.)coh is a good choice but imo only against caster cuz of its resist. but, if u duel against melee, resist is usually not needed. so, i recommand any high def armor, some of the cheap ones are Stone (good def) and Duress(a cheap verison of fortitude) runewords.

those are just my opinion, hope that helps u out.
note: dr% is capped at 50% just in case u didnt know

ps: if u happen to have the wealth to purchase a greif in nl , i recommand dont and use that to purchase an eth exile instead. the def on exile and it defiance aura is very useful in melee duel beside most public zealot duelers usally consider greif bm

I like the Etreks for the added str and FHR. Gore riders don't have much to offer me.

I can probably get a dracul's, but what are people's opinion on a HOZ shield?

Also got a cat's eye as an ammy instead of highlords. :O. It is sexy and brings back memories.

Assuming this is Zealot vs Zealot pvp?

With socketed Ber rune in your 08 gaze, you'll have 48% DR if you use a 15% DR on dungo, which leaves your armor of choices, since you have near max DR with 08 Ber'D gaze and 15% Dr Dungo, you'll probably want an armor with high defence like, Eth bugged Prudence, Stone, Eth steel carapace, Eth Templar's Might, Duress etc...or something of that nature to give you a nice boost of defence.

EbotdZ is probably the weapon of choice here, combining with the jewelries of Highlords Ammy and 2x Raven frosts.

Gloves should be steelrends, but cheaper alternative is Dracul's grasp

Eth Treks are decent boots, but you'll miss out the mods of what Goreriders provide, I'd go with Upped Gores.

For Shield, you'll want high defence as well, since you've already obtain your major Dr from Gaze/Dungos, Eth Exile comes in mind, Eth HoZ (upped or not), Eth Alma Negra.

Charms you'll probably want to aim for max/ar/life charms

I don't know how cheap budget I can advice you to obtain, since PvP requires expensive gears and efforts to put in.....

If you want an effective build on budget for public PvP, I'd go with a Tal's Sorc with Blizzard/ES or a Hammerdin.


If you're on ladder, Grief Pb is probably easier to get than EbotdZ

That should give me some sweet life and mana leech, with amazing block rate/block speed. Also have some FHR charms, so I should have nice FHR, and full resist. Do not know what to do about the damage problem though. I assume that I can just wear someone down ... eventually?

there is not more life leech in pvp.
'cheaper' weapon of choice would be low ed eth death cleaver. Still expensive, but if you can't afford some items low ed will go cheap enough.
swap belt. in any case SoE is superior to nosferatu. Cat's is ok, but you will be charging around if anything so frw is useless, which leaves dex which is also not needed when you do dual raven. go for highlords all the way.
please don't use treks because they are not so good on zealots. gore with 15% deadly strike will prove to be a lot more useful in pvp then extra few health or not-so-much-neededs-since-zeal-is-uninterruptable-FHR

I have just made a zealer to use for pvp, I chose zeal because I think they fun to play, anyway I seem to get totally owned. I win some but lose most.

Another crappy ring i use cause has res :undecided:

My inv is full of res charms and low life charms.
I maxed zeal, fanatacism, holy shield
Rest gone into defiance and sacrifice

Any suggestions as to how to better this?
Did i do stat points wrong? Put into str and dex to use gear then vita, it seems all three have benefits in terms of damage, AR and life
Is it worth upping gear?
Is exile really worth it? I could get one with a few weeks hard out playing

Alma negra gives more AR% and %Ed and has pretty good def. They are also cheaper than Hoz and give decent stats.

General PVP (vs casters and stuff) zealing or a melee only zealer?
For vs. general PVP, Fort as a armor might be a good choice, might want a Resist all exile to go with. That or a Phoenix with resists. Kira's circlet or vgaze or CoA for helm. Treks or gore riders for boots. Weapon can be ebotdz or griefpb/z. Dungos/tgods for belt. Bloodfists/ias gloves.

For melee dueling there are a lot of options since you aren't worried much about resists.
Your build looks like a old one. Most of those items are outclassed by newer items. But it would be a pretty stylish char..
