View Full Version : Best PvP sorc?

I just started playing again and I want to make a PvP sorc. What are the best builds out there now for one?
I hear lightning is very popular, but isn't it hard to hit with a linear attack?
Is Frozen Orb still the king of PvP?
How about fire, can you actually hit with those fire attacks in pvp?

i think arguably, the best pvp sorc is fb/es, but every sorc has its strong points. they all play a little bit differently so just pick the one that interests you.

blizz for killing power.
FB is good and strong, but can be sorbed too easily imo. even in league where 1 abs is allowed makes it weaker than other builds. Then again ES makes it absolute monster...

es/fb have the best spam/range ability even with one absorb/not max resist it is not enough to reduce good fb damage.

If youve just started playing again I'd go for a fireball sorc. V good and cheapish pvp sorc.

Another alternative is a blizz sorc, although theyre a bit more expensive for your general setup.

Fireball is best for attackive whereas id say blizz is more defensive. Both very effective and hard to absorb though.

Well Ive never actually dueled a good orb sorc so I can't comment on these much, but the ones I have dueled havn't hurt me at all. Lightning sorc are ok, they dish out good damage, but nowhere near as effective as a fball or blizz sorc.

Infinity light sorc is nice and hard to combat. Lack of shield sucks, but the dmg is awsome. I guess any sorc can be stacked or sorbed so don't necessarily base ur decision on being bm'd. If you do that you can't really make anything...

for pubs both do very well, but id say blizz comes out way on top because spurs+dwarf alone is enough to nueter your dmg. most people will not have 200 cold stack and if they do they likely cripple themselves.

in less bm enviroment, 200fcr fbes is king ..or queen of all sorcs.

I'd say a max block nova/lightning sorceress is the best.

If well played, and well dodged, and if your annoying, you can take down even the best of fire sorcs.

I'm in the middle of remaking mine, it has about 4 gearswitches, and can handle almost any class on a gm environment

Which is one of the reasons why I'm remaking her as a max blocker... and with maxed light instead of ts...

but 300+ stacked all res= no mad

and 200fcr blizz / orb would smash just camp in ur blizz till ur read to nl or spam

Maxed lightning will cover the 300 res thing, it will do not only high damage from -res, but against stackers, high integer damage will still hurt the opponent.

Also, you stated that an orb or blizz sorc would camp in my blizz until I namelocked or teleported. I do not have a blizzard, and if you meant they would camp in THEIR blizzard, then I would just stay offscreen and spam lightning and charged bolts at them.

Please, could we keep this on topic, you can think she sucks, I can have fun playing with her and think she does relatively well at PvP. Everybody is entitled to their opinion...

Also, I wouldn't discredit a build you haven't even seen yet, you've only seen my old pure nova.

Lightning sorcs are for gamblers, in a GM environment it's still very possible to 1HKO even a prepared opponent but then again you could do nothing but crap damage.
