Im in the works of putting together a fireclaw shaper for pvm. How viable is using a phoenix shield for the build? The stats look so good for a match up on fireclaw. And do I want to do max block rate or does that not really matter all that much for pvm.
Thanks Trevor

phoenix is HORRIBLE shield for pvp. for pvm it might be decent, but other shields easily beat it out.
max block is out of the questoin as this shield has none and i dont think you want to devote 300+ dex for a shield thats going to give you crappy blocking with.
i know why you want to use it, but honestly you could be alot better off with a storm shield and getting max block or just using a spirit shield instead and forgetting maxblock altogether as MB is not that important in pvm, especially when bears got shockwave ;p
also the ctc firestorm on this shield will mess with your attack, as firestorm is a timered skill so you might find it annoying.

Phoenix on a fireclaws druid is about as useful as an assassin carrying keys (see above).

Yes indeed Pheonix on a FC druid is horrible because of the low rate of blocking and the points you'll need to heavily waste into dex to achieve 75% max block. May i suggest a stormshield? I use stormshield and it works like a charm :) It gives good DR and good block rate when compared to pheonix
