This message might be a little long soooo for that im sorry. I bought D2 battle chest the other day and installed it. When I try to get on battle.net east it gives me the "unable to connect to battle.net" error. "if you using a modem you may need to check your internet servie provider before connecting to battle.net"
I'm running my internet through linksys wireless router WRT54GS. My dad's main floor computer has the router connect to a shaw modem. My room with diablo II is gettting the internet via linksys adapter. I can get on Battle.net west and Europe. I cannot get onto east, asia and other multiplayer. i have opened ports 6112 (in/out) and port 4000 (in and out). I have also read the portfoward.com guide and opened ports 4000 to 4000 and 6112 to 6119 on the gaming and application page of the router configuration page on the web browser. After all this it still gave me the same message. "Unable to connect to battle.net" all my friends play on east so i really wanted to get connect to east. I also used the blizzard server fix program they provide on their support page. So I am definatly try to connect to the right servers, i have the right ports open on my firewall and router but i still get the same message. Now the catch is that my friend installed diablo II via torrent and mounting images with Power ISO. But since then I have run virus scans with norton and it says my comps clean. I am out of Idea and was wondering if sombody could help me. i also created static IP's for both my room's and downstairs computers.
Plz help
and TY
