View Full Version : explain desynch please?
What is desynching and how is it achieved? I.e. hammerdins always try to desynch etc etc.

It's basically moving so quickly that the game can't keep track of where you are. Every character is capable of doing it with enough FRW, but Pallies have the easiest time because Vigor+Charge=Auto desynch.
So is that why you keep getting snapped back to where you were a few secs ago when you keep charging?

From my understanding, no. That's more lag than anything else. Desynching more or less makes it so the other person's mad does not display where you really are. It could look like they are a half-screen away, when they are really on top of you dealing a death blow.
But why does getting snapped back happen more while charging than normal running?

Because there are some parts on the map (like a rock) that will block your passage and you may not see it and kept repeatedly trying to charge through.
This is similar to being surrounded by monsters and then seeing yourself charging away but then actually end up actually never having been charging away at all but just struggling on the spot while getting hit
You're dragged back sometime when you're hit during desynch. I get this on hammerdins a lot, getting dragged back to the spot where my opponent hit me when I'm desynched.
max frw for gozu desynch because frw is fcr for desynch, the more frw your h'din has the stronger the desynch.

however, charge movement speed is only influenced by skill FRW. That's why vigor makes you desynch so much more.
frw scs, frw from boots, or frw from anywhere else on your equipment wont help a paladin thats using charge.

Ingame I heard some random dude speak about fr/w (from items) making you charge range (lenght?) longer. Is this right?
Charge length if dependent on where you click. If you're talking about duration, non-skill fr/w has no affect on charge speed, so no affect in duration either.
this discussion died out?
I found it by "search" button :D
Can anybody confirm what Moritz said?
Frw from items really doesnt matter if charge is used?
Farther how much frw is faster than charge?
