Ok i know when u got a duped rune and if a player has the same duped rune, urs can poof if he leaves first.

But why dont duped sojs poof. I remember in 1.09 when sojs were everywhere and the duped bugged ITH swords andd bugged OCCU rin (occu stats)
I had them all but not once did they poof, just the bugged Buriza armor did poof.

I wonder why some items poof and others dont.

Now u can tell me that there were 1000 different sojs got duped and i never entered a game were the same soj was in. But then the ith sword and occu ring, there has the only one occu ring in the begining that got duped massivly.

i just dont understand

dupes come from different "bases." 2 dupes even 100 dupes that came from different bases will not poof. 2 dupes from the same base will.

*speculation with only minor bases of evidence*
the passive scanner scans for an item code as soon as the first person leaves the game, if someone else in the same game leaves and has the same item with the same code, then that item will poof. however if they have different codes, then either will poof. this is why your 2 ohms do not poof even though they are 99.9% more than likely duped. perming changes the code temporairly allowing the 2nd person to leave. However, if you have 2 or more items of the same code, on the same character, and were not the first to leave, it will
poof regardless if you permed or not

i think ruststorm destroyed the iths and ruststorm can most likely destroy all the duped hrs as well, but it has not been ran in years and likely never will be.

Now u can tell me that there were 1000 different sojs got duped and i never entered a game were the same soj was in. But then the ith sword and occu ring, there has the only one occu ring in the begining that got duped massivly. The game doesn't delete iths because they're duped. When leaving a game, the game scans for certain invalid items just like it scans for dupes. The 'ith' items are deleted at this scan.

The Occy rings were deleted during ruststorm. The existing iths were deleted during ruststorm as well, and the 'new' invalid item checker(circa 1.10) keeps users from creating more ith items...or at least keeps them from keeping the new ith items past one game.
