hello

recently re-made my dreamer and found a beast lying around unused. having no space at the time, I dropped it to my dreamers inventory and forgot about it.
Then only today I used it to transform cuz I was bored. Then my boredom disappeared. It was rather fun :)

although I tried sticky for guide but couldn't find any. So quick question here

1) I am to assume you are gonna use phase blade for main weapon? or other weapons with good CB?

2) 1 handed or 2 handed? (like tomb reaver or grief?)

3) since bear pala can only use normal attack, what is the fastest attack speed by transformed bears? I plan to do this with dragon or dream as normal physical damage would suck if I have to use PB. So fana would be out of question.

4) above got me thinking. Does Fana's IAS or IAS from equip even work on bear? Or is is weapon IAS only like barb's WW?

I never went for those shifters or any bear transforming characters before (well not seriously.) Fury wolf don't count cuz its different animal.
anyway, this kinda leaves me short with details on bears. I've always thought they were slow and useless (u never see them) but I think I was wrong.

Your help will be muich appreciated :flowers:

1. Phaseblade, fast animation. You don't need alot of cb, you're fast enough anyways.
2. 1handed i'd say which means block
3. 5fpa i think. ... the things that matter smost for bears is animation speed.
4. It does... i think.

For starters take a gander at TheDragoon's wereform IAS/FHR calculator (http://home.comcast.net/~thedragoon/wereformadvanced.html).

You're not limited to phase blades, though they are a good way of hitting a four frame attack. Griswold's Redemption caduceus is a strong candidate that will do a bit more physical damage than a robo phase blade. Full of of ias jewels or with three shaels it'll hit a four frame normal attack for a paladin in bearform. It's plenty easy to get 25% off G'toes and be set, especially at that speed.

Using a phase blade or the caduceus you'll also be able to use a Dream helm and shield and add the auras for more lightning damage, not to mention Dream provides a nice little chunk of fhr. That said, you'll probably want to hit 86 fhr in bearform to help compensate for their otherwise abysmal fhr rate.

Both OIAS (non-weapon, non-skill ias) and SIAS (skill ias) will bump attacks down by a frame at most in bearform. With the caduceus you'll probably need about 20% ias from gear which shouldn't be too hard. Again, try crunching some numbers in the calculator.

Hope that helps.

thank you both for your time and explaining territory I never ventured :)
using grief means I already have max of 5 fram using calcultor (enter -30 as I normally would and ended up with 15 frame and thought wtf? :D)

helped a lot. Now I guess I will change belt to dungos~
