Read some of the guides and none seem to recommend using this. Seems like it could be a way to deal with melee (open wounds?). Of course you have your warcries for casters.

What do you think?

thanks

Make a Singer if you want, but leave out the widow.

Hmmm... but I see ww barbs using the widow for hammerdins. The singer could teleport faster than most any melee character and peck away at a distance. Leap.. shoot.. leap.. shoot.. etc.

That sounds good at first, but keep in mind ww barbs usually wear a Highlord's which has ias (with a singer you're probably aiming for fcr on the amulet), and often put an ed/ias jewel in the Arreat's for berserking speed. Unless you make some gear changes, your run-of-the-mill singer won't be getting any ias from standard gear, which will make actually shooting off guided arrows painfully slow. Secondly, bvc's have a high level if not maxed out leap skill, whereas a singer will (hopefully) be putting their skill points in war cry and its synergies to get the most damage out of each cast as they're so bloody mana-intensive, ergo you don't have points to spare for leap. It's just not going to have the coverage that a bvc's leap will. Lastly, it seems to be the consensus that using a Widowmaker isn't all that useful against lamerdins that have a clue what they're doing. Just a thought.
