View Full Version : Build that requires most use of strategy..

BadCompany

I'm looking for opinions on which PvP build requires the most strategy, mainly to spice it up. I was thinking mainly a ghost? The utilization of stunlock, teleport, and ww but are there any other builds that require a large use of strategy to be affective?

Shifters, you gotta chase down people with teleport on foot while dodging what they throw at you.

Running in circles avoiding 1 hit fireballs isn't what I would call strategy. Mainly looking for a more intensive build that requires quick thinking.

Never really played one, but from my pvm kicksin its more of a flight in, dragon talon and abuse a lack of fhr. What else is there to them?

they play just like ghosts except you don't need to practice your whirls.

i was talking about nvn spear/teeth style

just gotta know when to jump or run when you see the spirits @@

idk if thats what the tc is looking for though lol

nl/cl is like 90% of nvn. summon stack is what makes it work. even with spirits, the best counter to a spammer is to nl/cl spear with golem casted.

sor vs sor is dumb luck or good aim. nvn with out no enigma is strategic. requires pretty much all bone skills and the use of ibs

Remember .09 NvN? :O

NvN without Enigma today is pretty bad. Extremely defensive play results in a win. :\ I like to stay away from that and go Tele/Spear/Teeth NvN.

Ghosts, Ww/Trapsins, Fire druids.

I said fire druids, because you want opponents to chase after you, and make them lure into your fissure or volcano or some sort, takes planning and predictions on what the opponent makes. I'd say its pretty fun, even though not as versatille wind druids, since wind druid's physical damage cannot be absorbed.

Ever chainlock smite before? How about flash freeze Smite vs WW mindgames? Charge into a Smite without charge lock 100% of the time?

knowing when to play offensive/defensive is part of strategy isnt it. tele spear is more about whose got better aim

yo 09 nvn was all about loading up on frw and ibsing ^^

there were necs that were pretty gg at rushing with spirits/PN flying everywhere

wasn't all defensive :prop:

Old_Hand stylez lololol. you'll be hard pressed to find a necro that duels that way these days.

p.s. close ranged zvz is the most strategic duel. ROCK PAPER SCISSORS AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT.

Old_Hand used Spirit vs the block nec I used. :undecided: I have met a few that don't use Spirit.

Zealer or Werebear Sorc against any smiter that knows how to (ab)use his build.

Good luck with that.I am still trying to beat smiters and WW/enigma barbarians without playing a BO40 game.

@bad company, dennis's 1v7 hammerdin requires a pretty good amount of strategy if you actually end up in a 1v7 situation

lots of builds require a lot of strategy.

I prefer all kinds of assassins, but hammerdins, smiters, bvcs, mages require a lot ofcontrol over your char as well if you want to be any good.

mage, libby, ghost (in no specific order)
guides are there but not exactly a cookie cutter build (sorry, but nec doesn't need 'strategy' in gm duels imo. just need to be good)
not usre about libby but other two needs fast hand movement and lightning fast thinknig/reflex. so many god damn hot keys...
even it is a hybrid hammerdin, it required a lot more thought cuz ur hammer dmg is lower and stacked res lower in most situations so vs many build mage would be something that need quick thinking and reflex if that's what u mean by strategy.
this is just my opinion so anyone who disagrees can ......[insert words] :p

It looked like you guys had a blast putting it together, not to mention the time and skill you had to have put into the char to pull of the unshift-tele-lay traps-reshift-strike is just mind boggling to me lol.

If it hasnt been said before, GFG  lol
