Hammerdins are complex to attack with?

The setup I use right now is Hammer on left mouse and concentration and teleport on right button.

To attack an enemy I first have to choose teleport then press right button and teleport on top of enemy, then switch to concentration, then hold down shift to stand still, then press left mouse button to spam blessed hammers. That is 5 BUTTONS TO PRESS JUST TO ATTACK AN ENEMY!

On my javazon I just click right button to attack when I see an enemy and I cast lighting fury but on my hammer I have to press 5 buttons to attack the same enemy. My coordination between buttons is not so great so I often get confused in the middle of combat and dunnow which button to press next. Is hammer too complex a character to use for me? Must I stick to easier characters lol?

Complex? I'd say you should get used to it instead. On my poison nec i use CE, Poison nova, Lower res, Revives, Mages, Teleport, Raise skellies. Quiet easy when you get the hang of it, i think poison is harder then hammers, lala.

Hate to say it but hammers are among the easiest. Sounds to me like a hotkey issue.

my standard setup for hammerdins is

"E" holyshield
'a' hammers
"s" charge
'd' tele
'f' conc
'g' TP
'z' redemption
'x' salvation/vigor

this leaves your hand in one position with all the needed functions for quick access. Get used to tele and switching to conc when you land. For most it's one motion


you want tricky? try a Martial Arts sins and balance 3 charges with a stack of attacks!

Ha! You think that one is complex?! THIS is complex, behold my uber run key pressing adventures with my warrior monk:

1. Run out of town.

2. Put on Spirit and Call to Arms.

3. Cast Battle Command

4. Cast Battle Orders

5. Go back to town.

6. Weapon Switch, then swap alternate weapon slot with a Life Tap wand.

9. Select Life Tap as the default right-click skill on weapon switch.

10. Weapon Switch

11. F8 - Fade

12. F7 - Venom

13. F6 - Blade Shield

14. Enter Uber Tristram.

15. F5 - Cloak of Shadows

16. Run to lower corner, lure out Mephesto, run away, weapon switch.

17. Life Tap

18. Weapon Switch

19. F1 - Dragon Talon

20. Repeat step 16 until all ubers are dead.

If any of the prebuffs run out before I kill a boss, I run back to town and start from step one.

Hammerdins are one of the EASIEST character to play. Call to Arms for BO, then the rest is Fx to teleport and F other x to put on concentration.

Set it to a mouse wheel F1 Tele, F2 Conc. Just roll the mouse wheel accordingly.

Of all my time playing, i've never gotten around to using q,w,e,r, etc as hotkeys, I always just use the mouse wheel.
