From what I've read, it seems to be a choice between a great bow (speed) or yes, a hydra (damage).

GMBs and MBs plus the exceptional and normal bows of same type are 'Amazon-Only bows. And the A1 merc is a Rogue, not an amazon.

Not worthless, you can still trade it for a non-amazon Faith or the runes needed.

Imo, Great Bows are the best, followed by Blade Bows and Shadow Bows. From what I've read, it seems to be a choice between a great bow (speed) or yes, a hydra (damage).

If you want damage, then use a Crusader Bow. Lower reqs than Hydra, but has the same average damage.

I sold my gmb for ohm zod and turned it into a hydra faith bow. Just gotta get a merc now.

I've heard its better to get a merc in normal and lvl her than to buy one in hell at a higher level, is this true?

its half and half true. Merc bought in normal are better - safe for act 2 mercs. However, you can now buy mercs very close to your own level so you don't have to level them no more.

Channimal, its all good. I got my hydra faith ready to go, just gotta get some armor/helm for her. Not sure if I should make an eth fort or just mule over my eth bugged duress... hmmmmm

Yeah, it's a thought. I'm running out of things to sell for HRs, unless I tap into my good items, which I don't really want to do.

I got a good roll on my faith too, +2 skills 14 fant (wish it was 15 or 16 of course).

This merc will make my auradin unstoppable.

hmm since when can faith have lvl 16 aura? :p
