Magic Vambraces

This may be a noob question, but where can I find these? I mean you can get them off a monster, but do certain ones give better chances? I tried gambling for them from Anya, but I got rare chain bracers. If anyone would help me out it would be very helpful.

There are many critters that can drop magic vampbraces. Hell mode is the best bet. If you need to know the chances of a pair dropping use the ATMA drop calculator. You can find ATMA here (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=532037). It'll also tel you where to run to find a pair.

According to this calc, Hell Diablo has the best chance to drop them. You have a 0.00274% chance that he'll drop them on any drop.

why vampbraces? if you're crafting knockback gloves for a bowa you dont gain one single thing worth a crap by using vamps over heavy bracers. when i crafted knockback gloves i shopped heavies at charsi. it's easy, you just make a cow portal right next to her.

What do you gain by crafting heavys over the normal quality ones? Also u mean uber gate bcuz u cant make cows in act 5 :neener:

i picked heavy bracers because of the different qlvl (gah is qlvl right i forget) anyway after a while i got tired of only shopping so many so i redid all my calculations for using chain gloves and never looked back.

Or you can just gamble for chain gloves.

They'll always come out magical. :grin:

If you're high level enough, you'll get a decent amount of heavy bracers. Vambraces occasionally.

Stockpile on a decent amount of gold though. And equip Edge and Gheed's while you're at it.

thing with gambling is that you dont know exactly what ilvl item you have, it's a range. they also wont always come out as magical there's what 1 in 10 chance of rares?

That's true, but it's going to take you forever to find magical vambraces via drops...

And rares... well that's true too but you may get a nice rare via gambling, even if you weren't planning to in the first place.

which is why i brought up shopping... rares though...they'd have to be really nice imo to top a good pair of kockbacks.

Sorry for double post, but I read that you have a better chance of getting more affixes from vambraces.

Also when I gamble something, it only shows heavy, leather, and chain gloves, but can any of these turn into elite level gloves when I buy them? I.E. Vampirebone, Ogre Gauntlets, Vambraces?

Dunno about the first one, but yes to the second question (e.g., chain -> heavy bracers/vambraces, heavy gloves -> exceptional/elite versions)

Thanks and where do you recommend I should gamble from for magic vambraces? When I gamble chain gloves in hell I get rare gloves instead of magic.

I believe only your level matters; location doesn't and (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) difficulty level doesn't matter.

You will get rares; but that should be the exception. Most of the time you'll be getting magical gloves; the majority being chain gloves. Off the top of my head I was getting bracers/vambraces about 1/4 or 1/5 tries; this was with a level 90 zon.

I don't think you can shop heavy bracers from charsi, since she will never upgrade to excep/elite items. I usually gamble them, it gets frustrating but it's nicer when you are also looiking for circs and boots/light plated boots/greaves/belts for crafting also. I don't worry much about the ilvl thing, my philosophy is just crank em out as fast as possible :p

Elite is true, but she does upgrade to exceptional, in NM difficulty. NM Charsi, Fara and Asheara can sell Heavy Bracers. I like shopping for crafting material because you will know their exact ilvl, which is an advantage if you know what you are looking for.

vambracers are dropped randomly on hell but for me best chance to find these are in act5. hehe the best magic vambracers ive found was 20ias/3java skills 59def ^^

or you can always gamble for these. but be prepared to get more chaingloves and heavy bracers than the elite version

20 IAS is the max you can get from a pair of gloves I'm assuming? I'm trying to get 3 to bow skills, 20 IAS, and some leech :P

Btw can someone tell me how much one of what I want would cost me?

Rares/crafted cannot spawn with +3 bow skills.

+2 is max for rares; +3 is max for magical
