Are these gloves worth using over LoH?

I'm new to the bowazon so I'm kinda on the fence.

...and 350% damage to demons. I would not use them over LoH. I would use them if I didn't have LoH, though.

For a FA zon yes, for a physical damage bowzon nope.

I agree with cdm... nope.

The resists and +skills are nice but don't bring much (is +2 skills going to beat 350% dmg to demons? I think not...)

And the +str isn't helpful, unless you need to equip higher-str gear. If it was +dex instead of +str that would have been much better for a zon.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll be sticking with LoH it seems.

Hope I can sell those gloves at least...

Not exactly worth using because loh has that insane ed% but I would buy that off you if you are east ladder. xD

I've looked long and hard at the mods on both those gloves and the LoH.

The LoH's have the ED% (to demons) and a little extra defense.

But in every other way the other gloves rock.

In areas with alot of undead or animal type enemies (like the tombs in act II) then the % damage to the demons is kinda useless. But those 2 juicy skill points aren't. 2/3 of the enemies in this game are not demons. True, all bosses are. . .but if you aren't boss running, then what? 66% of the enemies you come across won't feel the sting of the added ED.

If you are running Bosses or fighting in high demon areas (like Travincal) then LoH gets the nod everytime without question.

But for general PvM- honestly, I would use those other gloves. If those gloves were crafted with those mods and knockback, they'd be close to Godly. +20 IAS and +2 to bow skills with some resists is very nice indeed.

In general PvM, if you are a Strafer or Multishot zon, it wouldn't be worth it...

But if you are a Frostmaiden or Strafer/Elemental Hybrid, then yes definitely. Those would be awesome gloves for a Frostmaiden. LoH, though, is superb in Acts 1,4, and 5, where a lot of enemies are demons, and the 50% fire resist on them never hurt. With a Ravenfrost or two on, generally cold resistance is not an issue for a bowazon. Fire and Lightning are.

I'm strictly PvM and I mostly run Pits/act 5 so by the general opinion LoH are a better choice for me since most of the mobs I fight are Demons.

And yes DayDream I am on East Ladder so feel free to toss me a pm with an offer or just hit me up in game

so true, Pure bowazon gloves MUST have at least these mods:

20%IAS
Knockback

These stats are so important that no questions should be asked about why.

The gloves arent bad, its just missing knockback factor, which is one of the most important thing that bowazons need.

Maybe it's just me but I find kb to be annoying and refuse to use it. My merc and valk keep the mobs off me just fine and kb just seems to push monsters back, causing them to have to chase the monsters around. Guess that makes me crazy.

While I agree that knockback can be very useful, I also think it's a bit overrated.

Once I switched to LoH awhile back, I stopped using knockback and frankly, I don't miss it.

My opinion on knockback is if your build is sufficiently powerful (e.g., faith + fortitude etc) you don't need it. Judicious use of decoy and your minions should be fine. If however you take longer to kill stuff, knockback can be very helpful.

The problem I have with knockback is that it pushes range attackers back as well as melee, and I need to *see* them. Especially Oblivion Knights. I need to target certain high-priority targets asap and knockback pushes them out of my vision too often. In addition, if you have a powerful melee merc, knockback can reduce his effectiveness by pushing away his current target, slowing down his killing speed.

heh well, maybe I've dueled too much pvp with my bowazon, for pvm just do w/e suits you i guess.

Frostmaidens don't need KB. I'd use those on my Bowazons, who all have the 41 skill points in the Cold bow skills.

Actually, no PvM Bowazon really needs knockback, as long as you've got your Valk, Merc and Decoy between you and the monsters. Which is stupidly easy to do too..
