View Full Version : best foh damage for pvp ?
Hey all,
I want to make a FoH pali and obviously, there are a few variants out there and I want to know what is the best set up ? So far. I've heard of full griz and facets idea, then the FoH stick set up... in terms of pvp, which one would fair better ?

Full griz set up is the cheaper way while foh stick is more expensive.
Full griz is foh is still effective

I've got two FoH builds.
One is a full grissy setup, I'm not carrying enough Combat Skillers atm (3 i think)so dmg is less than optimal but atm with 12 5/5 lights socketed into him he's doing 6.3k damage and obviously -210% resist from conviction.
My other build is a mid level 5/5'd Griffon + 5/5'd FoH Stick + 5/5'd Zaka + enigma etc.
Both builds have their strong points,
Griswolds - By far not as good as a 'good' build, simply lacks the endlevel damage that you can get from other builds. But it's cheap, your only issue will be the joy of finding 12 5/5 light facets! You will be in the trade games for quite some time.
Its Fun !! It looks bloody cool, and it's quite amusing when everyone laughs at your "lolz crap set noob" only to die moments later.
Good Build - By far the main advantage is Enigma ! Teleport is something you will really miss with Griswolds. That and the increased damage which is obviosuly nice, But if your using the unique FoH stick if you cant afford a good one your Conviction suffers a little.... Not in front of a client but I think you where about the -185 // -190 Convic level (I think...) But then I dont have a perfect Griffon so could be wrong.
All in all I think tbh I prefer my griswold set, its effective and fun. But at the end of the day as with any FoH pala anyone thats stacks abs/res is going to laugh you off. But hey ho

So what is the best Foh dmg for this patch and what is the best way to build a pure foh because all the guides are either mage or v/t

The problem with pure FOH is that it simply isn't viable against anyone who knows what they're doing so no one bothers to make a guide for it.

That's why when you're challenged into 101 with someone, swap your char to ur FoH pala and use switch Cta + Spirit + Vigor so they think you're just another hammerdin (it's important to leave your switch on whenever you exit a game so when you join a fresh game you have your decoy swap on instantly). Run to the moor beyond their view and switch weapons, then say go.
After you kill him once, just keep nk'ing and tell him what a rand he is. If he exits to rejoin you exit too and go idle in character selection screen so he cant wisp you. In pubs just stand inside town and only go out to kill BO'ers and naked men who trie to get corpse. If someone starts crying just squelch or keep spamming...
lol raped
ur too ezi
cry rand
owned ezi
... and NEVER let anyone have the last word. If they say anything after your taunt you must repeat it. This is the true victory when you crush ur opponents morale.

Or.... you could NOT act like every other pub out there. I guess it's your choice.
If I'm not mistaken, highest possible damage should be 9036.
Griffons, +20%
+2 amulet
FoH stick, +3 FoH, +25%
Enigma
HoZ, +5%
2x +1 rings
Arach
Highest damage setup I could think of.

dmg can be a lot higher imo, 11k or even 12k afaik
if you use 3pc amu, 20/-20 armor, 20/-20 shield etc
but I wouldn't make a foh char, people just swap equip, take a 160light res shield, kira's, wisps, tg, light res ba etc

If you are sure you want to make a pvp foher, I would definately say to go for the griswold setup due to the fact its WAY cooler.

If it's a public duel, the person can't sorb everyone, since there are people with magic damage/physical damage/and different element chars in game, he can't out stack everyone in the game.

how about a hammerdin with an inventry of 31* 20/5 all res scs and 50% pdr the only thing that cant be reduced/ absorbed is magic dmg

if your looking for well rounded, one could always give up the foh stick and use grief so you can smite. in a pb you wont need much ias to hit 6fpa. So if they sorb you they dont have max dr and vice versus. (or you can run a swap foh one side, melee the other)

Those charms are heavily duped, even though there are legit ones around, but still, not many players in dueling game can afford 20/5's anyway, most players would obtain 20 life scs, maybe with some resists, but not full inventory of 20/5's.
I'm just trying to say, not EVERYONE can out stack all element characters at once, unless prebuff Bm with thaw potion or antidote.

your talking about new ladder, nl tons of people have full invent of them.
they best on smiters, hdins which is worst enemy of foh

The Highest foh damage possible is 10301-10505 i am 99% sure.
Highest Damage on screen:
Gears:
Helm: Perfect griff with 5/5 facet
Ammy: +3 p-combat ammy
Weapon: +3 foh stick with 5x 5/5 facet (This beats +3 p-combat , +3foh with 2x 5/5 facet stick in damage)
Armor: 4x 5/5 facet armor
Shield: HOZ with 5/5 facet (This beats a 4x 5/5 facet shield in damage)
Gloves: ANYthing
Rings: 2x soj/bk
Belt: Spider
Boots: ANYthing
Switch: CTA for Battle Command
Charms: Torch, Anni, 9x p-combat GC
Skill Shrine +2 to all skills
Gives a total of level of:
1(Helm)+ 3(Ammy)+ 3(Foh Stick)+ 4(HOZ)+ 2(Rings)+ 1(Spider)+ 1(Battle Command)+ 3(Torch)+ 1(Anni)+ 9(9xp-combat GC)+ 2(Skill Shrine) =30
30 +20 (base Foh of Char.)= level 50 FOH
With 25%+ 25%+ 20%+ 5%= 75% of -enermy resist.
