bone visage question................

before the reset you could use the socket quest to put 3sx in bone visage.......now it seems that it only does two....imagine my disappointment!!
anyone know the answer to this please?:sad2:

Bone Visages do have 3 sockets max (unless they have been 'normalized' with the chippie + El rune recipe, then they have 2)

el+chip if turns Low Quality, Cracked, Crude or Damaged, into normal and sets its ilvl to 1

if its ilvl was under 40 it will get 2 sockets from larz
40+ will get 3 sockets

Good question. Bone Visages have a very high qlvl (84). It should not be possible to drop with a lower ilvl than that.

In the frst case, you socketed a magical item which will get 1-2 sockets from Larzuk, randomly. In the second case, are you sure you used the Larzuk quest reward and not the socketing recipe ?

yes i used larzuk to do the sockets because i wanted to make sure i had 3......but it looks like as it started life as low quality and after a trip to the cube gave me superior 15ed .....didn't think it would make much difference.....looks like i was wrong...........s*** way of finding out though:sad2:

That doesn't make sense so far. As I said, there is no way to make Larzuk add just two sockets to a superior bone visage. Also, you cannot upgrade anything to superior quality. You can only turn cracked items into normal quality items, so that's not an explanation.

Good point. A bone helm can get only 2 sockets in any case.
