Read through the throw barb guides and still have a lot of questions. Are throw barbs really viable for pvp? And even if there not i never make a character without pvp in mind. That being said is enigma a necessity? I was thinking of using fortitude.
If anyone has a successful pvp throwbarb i'd like to know what weapons u use. I was thinking of dual eth lacerator axes for the amp damage proc and open wounds but are the javelins better since they're higher damage? And last question is how much ias is needed to make fastest throw speed with dual lacerators?
Enigma will probably be better versus some classes, but it's very possible with fortitude. Throw barbs will be OK in PvP, but don't expect to clear out pubs. You'll probably win most duels through their inexperience or surprise though if they're built right are pretty powerful.
According to the weapon speed calculator for Lacerators:
Frames Per Attack: 6 | 5.5 | 5 | 4.5 |4 |3.5
Off-Weapon IAS Needed: 0 | 10 | 33 | 69 |138 |365
The last one is hardly attainable. Your best bet would probably be 5 or 4.5 FPA or possibly 4 frames if you go all out.
As for the weapon damage, I'm not too sure about that. But dual Lacerators do seem to be the most popular choice.

THanks for response. Keeping in mind that i need 33 non weapon ias what would be the best gear setup. I was thinking of something like this
arreats(40/15ias)
angelic ammy
2xangelic ring
fort archon
trangs belt for cant be frozen
2xeth lacerators
gores
sanders gloves(couldnt think of a better one with ias)
This setup lacks DR but hopefully i wont get hit too much. anyone got any better suggestions?
keep in mind also that javelins have a longer range than the axes will. i believe lacerators don't go much more than 1 screen before disappearing.
i think a big thing to consider is making your throwing weapons str/dex bugged. if they appear invisible when they're equipped, they'll be invisible when thrown as well, making them very hard to dodge.
