Socketed items

I've been finding a mix of 4 and 5 socket bows and spears. Majority are plain with little magic properties. Are 4-5 socket weapons worth trading for? Toss it?

Depends on the weapon. Matriarchal bows and grand matriarchal bows with +3 bow skills with 4 sox are quite valuable (for making ice, brand, or faith). Spears aren't really popular for runewords.
Some other bows have value. Can't recall them atm.

ok, most of the bows are mid-level, diamond (5), rune word (5), shadow (4).

Spears are Matriarchal +3 skills / Mancatcher 4 sockets. I guess I'll just keep the +3 skill stuff for now and keep hunting.
