So many questions so little space!

1. Basic but just want to make sure that ES is taken into account before block yes?

2. ES and Max block Fire sorc viable?

3. Gear if yes.. or no because I really just wanna try it =p
Hoto
Viper/Ormus/COH?
Shako (until I can get my hands on a nice rare)(also +2 ALL skills helping with ES abso. can throw a rune in ofc also)
Maras(+2 ALL skills)

For shield I was thinking a Moser's with two open sockets(um/ber/what else??)? Any ideas on how much more dex it will require to get it to max block then a wistians? (also if someone has it on hand would be nice to get ahold of the max block formula.)

Magefists.. or will that huge boost to mana from frosties help me so much that I should forego the +1 fire and 20 fcr ( not to mention regen also)
2x sojs
Arachs
Silkweaves

and ofc 9x skillers and scs to boot + torch/anni

4. Few BP's I am looking to beat.
FBR 48 to 86 giving 5 and 4 frame blocks respectivally
75 % block ofc
FCR 105
FHR 60-86 giving 8 or 7 frame recovery
High resists namely posion.(or will my life be so low already that 75% resist in posion really doesnt even matter?)
Also as much extra damage as I can tack on. I figure this will mostly come through addition +skills

5. Skills
+20 FB
+20 FB
+20 Meteror
+20 FM
1 inferno
1 fire wall
1 blaze
1 warmth
84 skills used

Lite
1 cb
1 lite
1 CL
1-? TK
1 tele
1-? ES
90-?
Cold
1 Chilling Armor
(Was wondering about this I saw a few people say to go for Frozen armor? I dont see much advantage to this for a few more D points for 5 more skill points. Am I missing some hidden bonus here?)
91

I figure 93 should be that hard to get to so that would give me 104 skill points right? Leaving me from show above 13 skill points to put into either TK or ES.

The max +skills I can see from items that would affect ES is +17 but will more likely be +16 leaving me with a 72% abso from ES far from the 95% recommended. Soo should I increase ES(thinking not) or take telekenesis as far as I can?

Will I be able to make up for this lack of abso with life? The way I see it whatever life I have is really x4 compared to damage done to ES when you take 75% blocking and 75% resists into account barring magic damage(damn hdins). Is this flawed thinking in pratice?

Hoping its not, what sort of spilt should I do between life and energy now?

To anyone that made it this far Thanks! cookies for you, dunno if I could have done it. All help and or critisims are more then welcome.

Thanks abunch ~Irish

block is taken into account first, and then if a hit still goes through, the damage reduction from ES and DR is applied. there are many es/max block fire sorcs on the realms.

the build:
shako (shael)
2sorc/15+fcr/mana crafted ammy
hoto
vipermagi (shael)
whistans or upped visc (shael/eld)
2sojs
frosties
spider sash
rare booties

20 fireball
20 firebolt
20 meteor
1 all other fire prereqs
20 telek
1 tele
0 (or pump it, depending on your buff) ES
pump rest of points into fire mastery

with a full buff (9lightning gcs), you can hit 89 or 90% ES (i don't remember which) with 0 points in ES. just remember that any sorc using decent amounts of ES should always max out TK. all stat points should go into energy after pumping dex until you get max block.

you will be stressed for skill points, so try and get your cold armors from other items (snow clash, etc), and use as big a ES buff as you can bear. its a good amount of trouble, but its worth it in the end.

DR gets applied to ES also?

and when you say cold armors I should be aiming to get frozen armor instead of chilling?

You should get both shiver and chilling if possible. They null range/melee attacks sometimes
