im starting my random new char now i guess im wondering what should i make im semi thinking javazon dont want a skellymancer had that before

I am a long time lurker here, and the past week or so it looked like bnet had angered you away from the game. Glad to see you are gonna start again and keep on keeping on.

ps. I personally like skellies for the ease of play and lack of need for uber gear. However a javazon sounds fun.

LF/FA zon's are pretty straightforward untwinked & don't need amazing gear to do well - a large stack size replenishing javelin & a bow with nice +skills is all you really need.

My fave untwinked HC char so far is my FC bear. Get a nice long stun via shockwave, a fast weapon and slap things till they die. FI's can be a problem, but shockwave + merc usually does the trick. If you happen to come across a decent physical dmg weapon (ribby!) along the way you can always sink points into Maul to deal with FI's.

Third option for me would be a trapassin - very gear independent & easy to get through the game. Some consider them only a step below fishymancers/hammerdins for cheese factor but hey, they work.

Those Java lightning spells work with 20 in LS, 20 in LF and a few pre-reqs. That damage alone (+ a few +skills on your javs and gear) will take care of anything thats not LI. It was my second HC build and it seems far too easy at times. Running Baal is laughable.

You've been playing much longer than I, bob, I'm sure whatever you take will be effective.

I assume you'd use jab as an alternate attack for LI's?
It works (I've done it before) but in HC I prefer the safety of FA.

I haven't really used poison jav, but I can't imagine it'd kill faster than FA. Nightfish did up a comparison in his LF/FA guide - I think it may be stickied in the single player forum build guide list, so you could check that out if you were interested

FA Zons wheter going Java LF or Strafe are probably one of the funnest builds to play IMO. Not over powering, can control crowds well. People use to think I was crazy doing FA in Classic, it was definetly lower powered compared to other Bow builds in 1.09, but I thought it was more fun vs stand back and spam.
