ideal smiter gear

hey i know most of you will say go check the paly forums//guides and blah blah blah. but ive already done that and they all list the "cheap effective" stuff.

i was wondering whats the best gear humanly possible for a smiter vs the ubers and dclone on HC? anyone could make a half *** one on SC and die a couple times and get the job done... im wondering for HC tho.

The is no best gear, thats the thing. Its always:

Grief vs Lastwish vs Heaven's vs Black

Drac's vs IAS gloves

Exile vs HoZ vs Up'd HoZ vs Spirit

Guillaume's vs CoA vs Shako vs Rare

Fort vs CoH vs Smoke, Vs Lionheart vs Treachery

BK vs Rare vs Dwarf Vs Raven

Gores Vs Goblins (Ok so may not this one)

Highlords vs Mara's Vs Craft Vs Rare Vs Magical

String vs Dungo's vs IK belt vs Cred vs Blood belt

You get where I'm going with this? It depends on personal preference, how much CB you want, your res, IAS, tap source etc etc etc etc.

Personally, I don't like a pure Smiter, they are near worthless outside Uber's in HC, at least in SC you can duel with them, but not in HC. A Zealot with a one point Smite is more then effective. In fact I just ran them last night as you know, with a bit above average gear.

However, if you want my person goal for gear, which isn't the "best" so to speak, its the following :

Grief PB / CTA
Guillaume's (Kira's for Mephy)
Fort
Up'd Um'd Hoz / Spirit
Metalgrid
Drac's
Raven / Dwarf (or Duel Leech)
SoE
Gores
Treachery and Demon Limb for prebuff

But thats just me. Also, I do believe I only died on my first run in Uber's (was SC) and never since. ~50% CB ~2.5k life, max res, and ~1k 6-7 FPA Smite is all that I think you need to be safe. Of course you CAN do with less, but if you have experience in the matter. My first time I prebuffed to hell and back and still died, but you learn from it.

well these are essentially the answers i was looking for.. i just didnt wanna make a cheap effective build that was risky in HC but from the sounds of it that cheap effective build spans the gap between HC and SC so thats perfect... i think im going to attempt the one build i found on the paly forums and let ya'll know how it goes.. chances are ill be runnin with some or all of you at some point so yeah ^_^

My Uber Zsmiter is not really decked out per say and he does fine . Iv'e run them 4 times now and havent used more than 2 juvs at any one run . Just 1 point smite is all you need . I Maxxed Zeal , Holyshield , Fanatiscism , Sacrifice , and the rest are going in Defiance . Hes level 86 atm ...

helm - Guilamales / Ummed
armor - Duress
Shield - 4 Pdiamond = 118 all resists
weapon - Stormlash
belt - credendum
ammy - Highlords
rings - crappy rare mana leech and Ravenfrost
boots - gores
gloves - DRACS GRASP - there really is no substitute here. In fact with these alone the rest really doesnt matter as long as you maintain max block and good resists ..

My 1 point smiter was similar to TDS's. In my opinion Smiters only need 2 things.

1) Crushing Blow
2) Draculs grasps

and even the second one is optional really if you're willing to run a Life Tap wand on switch.

you can get Crushing Blow really easily from Gore Riders.... ok, build done.

No, I'm not really joking. After that, just hack on some IAS, and Resists and your good to go. Gulliams Face, Heavens Light, etc... all amazing equipment, but all just gravy.
