MF Sorc Help

Ok, i have built a Light Sorc with 3 pts in ice orb because i dont have infinity. I have 80 base str and the rest is in vit. i have full tals, chance gloves and waterwalks and 2 nag rings..when it comes down to it i have almost exactly 300 mf.

but my sorc is to weak so i have difficulties running mf runs because i die all the time. what build is the best build for fast mf runs and what equip should i be wearing to better my dmg.

You should have 156 strength so you can use a spirit monarch shield, the +2 skills, fcr, fhr and resists help a lot.

3 points into ice orb isn't very much so I'm sure your orb damage is low.

Lightning sorcs are good mfers, but from what I understand they need lots of +skills to be very effective and an infinity really helps. I like blizz sorcs for mf even though they are limited by cold immunes. Meteorbs can be good mfers also and tals is a good set to use with them.

You would have been better to get the 3 to orb on a switch weapon.
I have full tal as well and he 0 issue with mf and can even rush hell. Try increasing your FCR with a spirit shield and 10%frc rings and beafing up your merc.

Yea, my sorc with viper, peasant, ocu, spirit and trang gloves can handle hell good enough. A merc that can tank is quite vital. And 117 fcr i would say, but ive heard its more of a personal preference.

ok, cool. thanks for the replies. i think i will rebuild my sorc and put those skills i used in orb put in nova to inc the light dmg.

what should my def merc be wearin? i have pretty crappy gear on him and he dies within seconds when i try to run nith key runs.

Merc gear:

Helm: Crown of Thieve's, Vamp Gaze, Tal Helm, Andariel's Visage

Armor: Duriel's Shell, Duress, Eth Fort

Weapon: Insight or Infinity

I'm sure there are other choices I just can't think of them right now.
