Hi PvP,
I've been the mod here for a little while but that time is over. I don't play diablo any more mostly because I don't have the time, and that lack of time also means I can't contribute as a mod in the way I feel I should. I'll still be around the forums a bit from time to time lurking, and I'll still try and log in for a pub crawl every few weeks until the game really does die. These forums are a great community and they've made the game a lot of fun for me over the years, I'm glad to see that they've turned out so well. I have a few shoutouts:
1) Derek, haven't seen you in while but by far the best friend I've made over this game. Take care of Runics for me bro, and good luck with whatever you do. Partners in crime :)
2) Dave, most fun I've had dueling was with you and the rest of temple, you guys are awesome and you know what the game's about.
3) Rodney, good duels :). Glad to hear you finally learned to use a ghost. If you want on mine PM me, I think she's probobly better than what you use at the moment.
4) KQ and Isaac, thanks for putting up with my egotistical coaching and endless suggestions, you guys are good duelers and good friends.
5) Jeff, Martin, Jacky, Chris and Wes, clan eXe, for teaching me that clans are a stupid and pointless idea that robs diablo of its joy. Damn good duels though. Ian, I know you don't read these forums much but you were the only good one out of the lot. Peace dude!
6) Jerico, for forcing me to improve and for knowing when to quit. :)
7) Speederlander, who I know is long gone but I have to mention because I owe a lot of my success to that monstrosity of a guide.
8) All the people who read my guide, you made all that testing and dying worth it.
9) I hope I didn't miss anyone
I'd like to add the NL is definatively > Ladder, the best type of duels are legit BM 2+ vs. 2+ in pubs, or failing that GM 4v4, the best dueling character is a Ghost, Shadow Dancers are excellent boots, Barbarians are boring, people need to stop whining about desync, Ce Olba was a prick, MCM was overrated, Max is way better at Sin than me, Smite and Whirlwind users are not melee duelers no matter what the dictionary says. Those are my opinions and my opinions only, just stuff I've wanted to write on the forums but didn't get a chance. Please don't argue over them in my goodbye thread, I'm still a mod for a few days and I'll ban you.
Lastly I'd like to give a huge shoutout to our local Uncle Mike, who does an awesome job on these forums and will continue to do so. Give him the support and props he deserves.
If you're on my friends list on Dii please don't remove me, unless you really REALLY need to the spot :)
